No worried, feel free to utilize my answers (subject to a fair use policy of integrity and properly crediting authors for their work with citation, quotation, backlinks, etc.).
Recently Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Hua Chunying, did comments on Twitter about your Quora answer “Which country have you visited that turned out to be nothing like how it is depicted.” I realize that China has surprised many people the first time they met, and you are one of them. Is possible for us to have a little talk with you, to know more about how China looks like in foreigners’ eyes? If it’s possible drop me an E-mail to contact you easier.
Hello Pete, it is Yijing from Southern Metropolis Daily (南方都市报)again. Thank you very much for replying me. Yes. We have a few questions for you, looking forward to your answers. Questions are as below:
1. Could you mind telling me where you are from? What made you come to China and stay? Do you feel worried before you come here?
2.When is the first time you come to China and which city you stay? Did the first sight you met China surprised you? If so, what made you surprised exactly?
3. We notice that you have been in China for 4 years,How many cities you been? what made you think is good to live here, could you tell me more examples with your personal experience?
4.You mention in your blog that you suffer a very high level of diabetes in early 2019 when you were living in China. I believe it must be a hard time for you as visiting Chinese hospitals for a foreigner is not that easy? Would you like to share more about your hospital experience?
5.What do you think of the healthcare system in China? Except the healthcare, any other area you think could be improved
6.We realize that you always have strong enthusiasm to answer people’s questions about China, and you even have your personal blog to give a lot of tips for foreigners living in China. When you start doing this, and why you would like to insist in showing people the real China looks like?
7.We realize that there are still a lot of stereotype/bias or even discrimination about China in western world. In your opinion, what is the reasons before this situation, and how to change it?
8. Recently Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Hua Chunying, did comments on Twitter about your Quora answer about the topic “which country have you visited that turned out to be nothing like how it is depicted.” How you think about her comment?

I don’t reply emails (this is a satirical website; so read anything and everything with a grain of salt), comments are welcome though. 🙂
