Very recently, Dad of one of my (former) Chinese colleagues (let’s call him ZR) was detected with liver cancer. ZR is an associate professor in Jiangsu province.
He was exploring options to buy liver cancer medicine in China. However, it turned out that the price of the cancer medicine manufactured in China was quite expensive. About RMB 10,000.
ZR is not very poor, but not very rich either. He just couldn’t afford the local medicine. He was trying to find cheaper alternatives.
Buying Indian Medicines in China
He tried to get the medicines shipped from India to China as the Indian medicines were expected to be relatively cheaper.
However, due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, ZR wasn’t sure of importing medicines to China.
It turned out there are at least a few India medicine centers in China. My friend bought liver cancer medicine from Beijing center (very easy to find using Baidu/Google search).
Price of Indian Medicine?
Here is the price of liver cancer medicine paid by my friend:
4mg: RMB 2,650 (contains 30 tablets; it would cost RMB 10,000 if you buy the same medicine manufactured in China).
10mg: RMB 4,150 (contains 30 tablets).
I believe that the Indian medical stores in China sale a variety of medicines (not just for treating liver cancer).
My friend bough 4mg medicines (RMB 2,650 is still quite expensive).
Further, the India medicine center in Beijing promised that the medicines could be delivered throughout China, in about 3 working days.
Btw, I didn’t buy anything from this place. So the information in the post is what I learned from my friend (and posted in the public interest). Viewer discretion advised.
