Let’s say you want to find a job in China. How do you go ahead? How do you find a suitable job in China? How to find a local job in China?
Seriously man. I have some tips for you!
Finding a job in a country like China can drive you nuts as you may not know the local language, Mandarin Chinese.
Here are some of the very popular Chinese platforms/Apps for finding local jobs. If you don’t understand Chinese websites, open them in Google Chrome, and translate the page to English.
Boss (直聘)
Perhaps Boss (直聘, Zhí pìn) is one of the most popular job searching platform in China, heavily used by the young and adults. The platform is known as Boss as it allows you to directly get in touch with the company CEO. Not to mention, you can also connect directly with the HR. Owing to such a strong feature, the platform is called Boss. In English, 直聘 would loosely translate to “recruit directly”.
You can upload your resumes on your profile, and every day, there will be a lot of HRs viewing your profile and contact you. If you find an interesting position, you can actually, directly shoot a message to that company’s HR, isn’t it cool?
58 Same City (58同城)
Well, 58同城 (58 Tóngchéng,) is a Chinese version of Craglist. One of the earliest job searching platforms in China. In fact, 58同城 is not only for finding jobs, rather you can also buy and sell your stuff. It could also be used for renting a house/car.
Zhilian Recruitment (智联招聘)
Zhilian Recruitment (智联招聘, Zhìlián zhāopìn) uses a matching algorithm to match suitable jobs/employers to the suitable candidates. This way, the employers can also suggest you which jobs would be best for you.
Job Hunt (猎聘网)
Job Hunt (猎聘网, Liè pìn wǎng) is another job-searching platform worth exploring. They are also kind of intermediary: you give them your updated resume, and they’ll forward your resume to the suitable employers. Hopefully, soon an HR would get back to you.
Worry-free Future (前途无忧)
Worry-free Future (前途无忧, Qiántú wú yōu) is locally considered to be a very professional job searching site in China. In fact, it’s the first Chinese job searching company to be listed on NASDAQ.
You should also get in touch with your Chinese language teachers and friends. They will let you know how to find jobs in China.
Last but not the least, having a resume in Chinese would help as well (there are so many translation companies worldwide).
